Champagne is never cheap and this price is far more than most people generally have the stomach or wallet for, but it's better than many big brands costing $10 more. Bone-dry and high-strung with acidity, it nonetheless displays remarkable depth of flavour, with lemon pastry, green apple and yeasty bread at centre stage.
