Medium-full-bodied and oh-so-southern (France, that is), this red conjures up lavender water (is there such a thing, like rose water?) mixed with cherry juice, tar and licorice. The tannins are soft and acid bright. It's a fine, savoury red for leg of lamb roasted with herbs.
