Splendid Bordeaux from the excellent 2005 vintage, this organic-biodynamic red from the Canon-Fronsac appellation combines merlot with a splash of malbec. There's Old World charm from first sip to last, with notes of cigar tobacco and cured meat playing on a core of cassis. Glorious at 10 years of age, it should continue to improve for 10 more.
