Jamie Oliver
@angelapedrao: Any ideas for original dips, beyond guacamole and sour cream?
Jamie Oliver: Yes, loads! Homemade hummus is always a winner – throw some grilled peppers and herbs into the mix, and it will take it to a whole new level. For a gorgeously bright dip with a bit of a kick, another option is to smash up some cooked beetroot with a splash of vinegar and some yogurt and cut through with horseradish sauce. Any kind of smoked fish mixed with cream cheese and lemon juice is a no-brainer – I love to serve it up with some mini Yorkshire puds for dunking. Crushed braised cannellini beans mixed with new-season olive oil and crispy breadcrumbs is another really tasty option to try, and mashed sweet potato spiked with mango chutney is out-of-this-world delicious.
