Jamie Oliver

@elliscarveth: Both of my sisters are vegan, but the rest of the family aren't. Do you have any tips on how to cook two separate Christmas dinners in the easiest but best possible way?

Jamie Oliver: If the truth be told, all you need to do is to make the best Christmas dinner you can, but provide an alternative or two to the elements containing animal products. It sounds awfully obvious, but just go bonkers on incredible veg sides that'll suit everyone, and you'll save yourself lots of time. Think amazing roast squash or beets, clementine-spiked carrots, roast potatoes (obviously!), braised celeriac, crazy-good greens… I could go on forever! You could also try my vegan nut roast, which wouldn't look out of place in a traditional roast scenario – you'll find the recipe on jamieoliver.com, and there's a vegan gravy, too, which will help bring the story together. In fact, you'll find a whole load of delightful vegan recipes on there to help you through the festive season. Happy cooking!
