Tim Hortons opened its TimShop pop-up store, featuring a range of nostalgic merch, at the Toronto Eaton Centre last weekend.Christie Vuong/The Globe and Mail

A retail pop-up from Canada’s most beloved coffee purveyor was probably not on many 2025 bingo cards. Perhaps even more surprising: Tim Hortons’s collection of nostalgic and nationalistic merch is actually pretty slick. The capsule collection of dad-inspired basics is suitable for all genders and finally provides an answer to the question: What would happen if the Gap and an Iced Capp had a baby?

The first-ever TimShop pop-up opened at the Toronto Eaton Centre last weekend and will remain on-site through the holiday shopping season, offering gift options galore for the person in your life who can’t form a sentence before their morning Tims.

We got an early sneak peek to bring you this definitive ranking of best bets – and the perfect donut pairings to go with them.

10. The Retro Logo Belt Bag

Finally, a stylish option for storing all of those half-used Tims gift cards. This functional accessory taps into the broader fanny pack revival as seen on the spring runways at Hermès, Armani and Versace. This one – available in beige or rich espresso – is a little more low-key and a lot less pricey.

Donut pairing: Old fashioned plain. The most normcore of baked goods.

9. Aprés-Ski Unisex Quarter Zip

Here we have a Nordic-inspired sweatshirt that channels off-duty ski patroller. It’s also the only fleece in the collection that isn’t in the coffee colour palette – because some people just don’t go for autumnal hues.

Donut pairing: Strawberry jelly. You won’t even notice the accidental squirt.

8. Timbits Bucket Hat

The preferred headgear of rappers and British rockers is trending this year thanks to the Oasis reunion tour. It’s a look so deeply dorky that it’s crossed over into cool, and Tims’ version featuring an anthropomorphic Timbit certainly leans into that tension.

Donut pairing: Timbits. Duh.

7. Vintage Unisex Ringer T-Shirt

Tims’ design team raided the archives to come up with this retro-printed tee, which looks like the kind of piece you might find at the bottom of a Value Village bin – in a good way. Bonus points for the subtle scoop neck and ’70s-inspired trim detailing.

Donut pairing: Apple fritter, in keeping with the vintage Tims theme.

6. Retro Logo Pet Hoodie

If your pup is going to accompany you on the morning coffee run, they might as well dress for the occasion.

5. Winter Bears Holiday Pajamas

If you’re not posting a pic of your family’s matching PJs on Instagram, are you even celebrating the holidays? Tims debuted fam-jam sleepwear in a Timbit print last year. This year’s version features the company’s new mascot, Horton the Bear, whose giant furry likeness provides a social-media-friendly photo op at the Eaton Centre store.

Donut pairing: Vanilla dip with sprinkles. Sweet, colourful and kid-friendly.

4. Tims Canada Unisex Crewneck

Remember that Beaver Canoe sweatshirt you stole from your older sibling’s closet and wore until the cuffs shredded? This top-selling classic blends those retro collegiate vibes with a timely patriotic message.

Donut pairing: The cruller, the crewneck of baked goods.

3. Unisex Winter Bear Holiday Sweater

Festive enough for the ugly Christmas sweater party yet cute enough to wear into the new year, this anchor piece places Horton the Bear against a non-specific Canadian mountain range backdrop. Equally fit for hitting the slopes as hanging by the fire with a hot buttered rum.

Donut pairing: The recently restored maple dip, a similarly joyful event.

2. Flannel Lined Utility Jacket

Think Pedro Pascal in The Last of Us, but make it maple. This shoulder season staple wouldn’t look out of place in the pages of GQ, but for Tims, utility is more than just an aesthetic. The Workwear Edit line is inspired by the company’s strong ties to the construction community.

Donut pairing: Boston Cream, a reliable classic.

1. Retro Logo Unisex Hoodie and Tims Unisex Joggers

Old school, extra soft and available in coffee-themed colours, this matching set is the perfect expression of #coffeecore. No notes.

Pair it with: Double chocolate, for those who like to double up.
