From simple and suave to ultra-stylish yet understated, the Golden Globes red carpet balanced bold moments with safer, familiar choices.
One thing was clear: Stars steered away from political statements and overly decadent designs. There was no Cher, Billy Porter or Björk-level drama (fingers crossed we’ll get some at the Oscars). Instead, an abundance of polished looks reaffirmed that glamour, craftsmanship and old-school Hollywood still mean business.
Whether by intentional restraint or a desire to save the drama for the screen, the Golden Globes favoured elegance over extravagance, proving that even in cautious times, Hollywood remains a freshly Windexed funhouse mirror. With that in mind, here are 12 standout looks that captured our attention.
Hudson Williams
Kamloops, B.C.’s Hudson Williams turned heads in a white Giorgio Armani dinner jacket with a matching cummerbund, black evening trousers and a Bulgari necklace and earrings, styled by Anastasia Walker.
