A big part of what makes the holidays so special is the food. For many families or groups of friends, getting together for a meal or a potluck is the reason for the season.

Which means that your favourite holiday memories probably have something to do with food as well. Maybe your family has a signature dish or secret recipe that’s been passed down from generations, or a cherished memory of the first time you hosted Christmas dinner in a new home, or with a new person. Or maybe it was that one time dad set the turkey on fire, and the jokes you still make about it.

For a future Globe story, we want to know about your favourite holiday food memories, and what makes them so special to you. Share your story in the form below, or by sending an e-mail (with a picture) to audience@globeandmail.com with “Holiday decoration” in the subject line. You can also submit photos using this form.

Your item and response may be included in an upcoming Globe and Mail story. We’ll reach out if we’re looking for any more information.
