It was a mock lap dance turned YouTube sensation. But the stars of the graphic display weren't who you might expect. They were two Winnipeg high school teachers at a school pep rally. And their performance was caught on tape, by their students. (Watch the video .)

The lewd dance, which included teacher Adeil Ahmed simulating oral sex on colleague Chrystie Fitchner, among school administrators and parents.

Both teachers were suspended, first with pay, then without. This week, Ms. Fitchner , while Mr. Ahmed's contract was not renewed.

Are they paying too high a price for one-and-a-half minutes of what some may say was harmless fun? Is there hope of professional recovery? Did school officials and parents react appropriately? And what could the teachers have been thinking in the first place?
