ShaveTech recharges via a USB port.
ShaveTech is a portable electric razor that recharges through a built-in USB port, so as long as you've got a laptop, you've got a charger.
How it works
It may be the size of a smartphone, but ShaveTech packs a punch. My husband compares its power and functionality to a much bulkier Braun electric razor. To get the closest shave, hold the outer foil at a 90-degree angle against your face. Charge it for up to 12 hours before its first use. You'll get about 35 minutes – a week's worth of five-minute shaves – before it needs another charge.
Pros and cons
The USB port flips in and out directly from the razor and charges through a laptop or tablet. The instruction manual recommends that it completely run out of power before it's recharged. But the only way to tell that it needs more juice is when it slows down and tugs, rather than shaves, whiskers. I wouldn't recommend this razor for women. I managed a clean shave on one leg, but it takes a long time.
Final verdict
Pocket-size and cordless, ShaveTech is great for quick spruce ups on airplanes or on a camping trip. It's ideal for daily maintenance, but mustache and beard wearers need something more powerful. $29.99 (U.S.); shavetech.com
