Ride around Europe in the off-season for less.
Many veteran travellers prefer to head across the Atlantic in the off-season when attractions are less crowded and prices are lower. BritRail has dropped the prices of its passes by 20 per cent if you travel between Nov. 1 and Feb. 28, with a four-day England Consecutive Pass in standard class selling for $179, down from $225. A range of passes is available offering rail travel on consecutive days (from three days to a month) and flexible passes offering three, four, eight or 15 days of travel in a two-month period. If you are travelling extensively in the British Isles, the BritRail Pass + Ireland covers both the United Kingdom and the Republic while other passes cover England, Scotland and Wales; England only; Scotland only; and the London Plus pass which covers the southeast.
