Lufthansa is offering a Rail & Fly option that can take you almost anywhere in Germany for about the cost of a taxi ride.
A one-way Rail & Fly ticket linked to an international Lufthansa flight can be added to the flight reservation for €25 ($34) in second class and €45 ($61) in first class. The price for a round-trip ticket is €50 ($67) and €90 ($122) respectively.
The Rail & Fly ticket can be used on nearly all Deutsche Bahn trains, including the ICE high-speed trains that operate throughout Germany. When booking a flight online, travellers click on the Rail & Fly option and select their route and their travel class. With the Rail & Fly offer, you can connect from Frankfurt, Munich or Dusseldorf to more than 5,600 German railway stations.
