Two men have been charged after an alleged abduction outside a nightclub in northeastern Alberta, Global Edmonton reports.

A woman called RCMP saying she'd been abducted outside a bar in Fort McMurray early Monday morning.

Police say an 18-year-old woman and 21-year-old man were parked outside the club when two men approached their vehicle.

There was a fight, and the 21-year-old man was assaulted and pulled from the vehicle.

The woman was told to drive away with the two suspects in the vehicle.

Officers found the vehicle and pulled it over, and during the arrest, police say a man assaulted an officer.

A witness, who was driving by at the time, pulled over to help police.

Troy Kreiger, 45, has been charged with several offences, including assaulting a police officer.

Bryan Ethier, 28, has been charged with assault.

The men are both in custody and will appear in court Nov. 26.
