Mounties say one of the latest marijuana grow-ops busted in B.C. was controlled by a computer system that could be accessed by satellite and featured an electrical panel that would be more at home in a forest mill.
Staff Sergeant Warren Brown says the grow operation police found near Williams Lake on Friday is the most sophisticated he's come across.
He says police found 9,000 marijuana plants and two large diesel generators in a raid on a rural property arrested five men from the Metro Vancouver area.
RCMP say a separate raid on Thursday netted one of the biggest-ever pot busts in B.C. on a rural property east of Prince George.
Police found 20 greenhouses stocked with 18,000 plants in various stages of growth.
A Vancouver man and two men from Quebec were arrested, one of them after a chase involving police dogs.
