Images taken by surveillance video at Vancouver restaurant Section (3) show a man walking around the restaurant he is believed to have broken into and robbed.

Vancouver Police are seeking two suspects in a restaurant robbery being described as traumatic for two employees who were tied up by their assailants.

Just before midnight on Jan. 3, two men brandishing handguns burst through the back entrance of Vancouver's Section (3) Restaurant in Yaletown. Two employees were in the restaurant at the time. They were bound and gagged while the armed men emptied a safe of cash and jewels.

The armed men were dressed in suits and overcoats, and fled in a dark-coloured, two-door car. Police have released three surveillance video images that they hope will help identify the suspects.

The suspects are believed to be between 5-foot-10 and 6-feet tall, of medium build and between the ages of 20 and 40 years old.

While the two restaurant employees were not injured during the robbery, Vancouver Police spokesperson Constable Jana McGuinness said the incident was particularly traumatic for the two employees.

Vancouver Police are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
