A stretch of Highway 401 in Toronto has been reopened after being closed for more than 10 hours following a rig rollover.
Provincial police say a westbound tractor-trailer crashed into a dividing barrier, just east of Yonge Street, and flipped over around midnight, spilling its load of particle board.
No injuries were reported but the crash forced the closure of the express lanes from Highway 404 to Allen Road.
Cleanup of the debris, fuel and the truck was delayed by wet, icy weather.
Motorists in the collector lanes passing by the crash site slowed to look at the wreckage, with some snapping pictures on cameras, in violation of the distracted driving law.
The truck driver has been charged with careless driving.
