Interim Conservative Leader Jamie Baillie will run in the next Nova Scotia election in Cumberland South.
A party spokesman told the Amherst News today that Mr. Baillie will announce his decision Wednesday.
The source said Murray Scott will officially announce his resignation in the riding, clearing the way for Mr. Baillie to seek the party's nomination.
Mr. Baillie, 44, is a former president of Credit Union Atlantic and chief of staff to former premier John Hamm.
Cumberland South has been held by Mr. Scott since 1998.
