One man is dead and another is in hospital after shots were fired outside an after-hours club in downtown Edmonton this morning.
Police say they were called to the Chez Pierre club at about 8 a.m.
Officers found one man dead inside a vehicle and another person injured.
An unknown number of patrons were still inside the club and being questioned by police.
The street in front of the club was blocked for much of the morning while homicide investigators did their work.
The downtown was quieter than usual because of the Family Day holiday.
