A family in Newfoundland and Labrador is pleading for the return of items stolen from their young son's gravesite.
Bradley Ryan died in 2002 at the age of seven from complications related to a car accident years earlier.
His mother, Bonnie Ryan of St. John's, says numerous items including angels and solar lights have been taken from the gravesite.
She notes there's a likeness of her son carved into the headstone.
"If anybody's reaching into that headstone to remove items, they actually physically have to see the picture of this little child," she says.
"It's bad enough that somebody's removing items from the headstone, but for us it's when somebody looks at the child - and they still continue to remove those items."
The boy's mother says the incidents at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery are "upsetting and disheartening."
She says a hand-carved marble ball that was fixed to her son's headstone was the most recent item stolen.
