A teenager has died after a single-vehicle accident on a Nova Scotia highway.

RCMP say the 17-year-old boy was travelling through Upper Kennetcook on Sunday when his car left the road, hit a culvert and came to a rest on the front lawn of a home.

The boy was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say he was from Maitland, N.S.

An accident reconstructionist is trying to determine the cause of the crash.
