Hamilton police are asking the public for help in finding whoever is responsible for the killing of a 73-year-old woman.

Police say the body of Audrey Gleave was discovered in a residence in Ancaster Thursday morning.

They say she was the "obvious victim of a homicide" and the motive may include a sexual component.

Police are trying to retrace Ms. Gleave's last hours and contacts and are asking for anyone who knows the woman to contact them.

They're also asking residents in the area to report any suspicious activity.

It's being called Hamilton's 11th homicide of 2010.
