An air and water search continues for a float plane missing along the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

Searchers are scouring the Quebec coastline and the St. Lawrence River for the aircraft that had two men aboard.

Hercules aircraft kept up the search overnight, and once again today, they'll be joined by a Cormorant helicopter, two civilian air search teams and three government ships.

The privately owned Cessna 180K left Baie Comeau, Que., Thursday night bound for Grandes-Bergeronnes, Que., and was reported overdue on Friday.

One of the men aboard has been identified as Jacques Deschenes. He's the owner of a fishing and hunting camp in Bergeronnes, which is about 250 kilometres north of Quebec City.

His family has been anxiously watching for news from those looking for the aircraft.

"We're waiting, we don't know anything yet," his brother Jean Deschenes told the Canadian Press on Saturday.

"We're in a period of uncertainty, we have no information."

The identity of the plane's pilot is still unknown.
