A charge of first-degree murder has been laid against the stepfather of a Calgary teenager.

The body of 17-year-old Brittney Nora McInnes was found hidden in a bed in her southwest Calgary home Monday - a day after she was reported missing.

Her cause of death has not been released.

Bradley Wade Rietze, 45, of Calgary was arrested last night after being released from a local hospital.

His first court appearance is scheduled for Monday.

Ms. McInnes, a Grade 12 student, had lived in the home with her mother, two siblings and stepfather.
