Two teenagers are facing charges after a man was seriously wounded while trying to prevent a robbery in Brantford, Ont.

Police say two teens smashed glass display cases and were grabbing valuables at a downtown business late Friday afternoon when they were confronted by a store employee and a customer.

The teens allegedly ran from the store while the employee chased them.

Police say a man who lived in the area caught one of the teens, but was then stabbed, leaving him with serious wounds.

Police have charged 18-year-old Tyler Difelice of Brantford with attempted murder, aggravated assault and robbery.

A 17 year old, who cannot be identified, is also facing robbery charges.
