As promised, the U.S. Ambassador delivered a two-four to 24 Sussex Drive this morning.

In fact, David Jacobson brought two cases of beer to Stephen Harper - one of Molson Canadian and one of Yuengling, Barack Obama's favoured brew.

Mr. Jacobson was making good on a bet made between the Prime Minister and the U.S. President on the outcome of the Olympic gold-medal hockey game. Sidney Crosby scored in overtime, securing the suds for Mr. Harper.

A spokesman for the Prime Minister told The Canadian Press the beer would be donated to the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto.
