Britain's Conservative Leader, David Cameron, waits to address an election rally in Bristol, southwest England, on May 5, 2010.TOBY MELVILLE/Reuters

In Jenkins and Gable The Globe and Mail is blessed with brilliant, imaginative and original cartoonists whose work occasionally - and always to better effect than the blog itself - illustrates my tripe. I hope they won't take umbrage then if, on this election day in Britain, I point to the Guardian's Steve Bell whose cartooning I've always revered. In this case the reference is to a short film explaining how Bell came up with the idea for his recent take on David Cameron. In the otherwise grim world of PR politics (of which "Dave" Cameron is the ne plus ultra) this is comic relief of the highest order.
