Four young people face 88 mischief charges after a number of vehicles were damaged before dawn on Wednesday.

At 2:41 a.m., police responded to calls from a number of people in the Crawford and Bloor Street West area reporting damage to their property.

Police say two women and two men were seen walking north along Crawford Street, walking up to cars and damaging them. Twenty two vehicles were smashed with rocks, bricks, the offenders' hands and with other objects, police said.

Jessica De Carvalho, 18, Monica Cordeiro, 18, Andrea Sechi, 20, and Anthony Belerique, 20, all of Toronto, have each been charged with 22 counts of mischief under $5,000.

They appeared in College Park court on Wednesday at 10 a.m.
