All eastbound lanes of Highway 401 near Cambridge, Ont., have been re-opened following a fatal crash early today.
The eastbound lanes had been closed after a car and a tractor-trailer were involved in the collision (at Townline Road).
Provincial police say the truck hit the back of the car, which became wedged under the truck, and both vehicles caught fire.
The driver of the car did not get out of the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim's name has not been released.
The truck driver was not injured.
