He was killed on Christmas Day, pumped full of bullets and left to die in a hallway.

Jordan Hosten, an 18-year-old man, was gunned down around 4 p.m. Saturday. He was found shot seven times in the hallway of an apartment building in Toronto's west end, according to police at Toronto's 12 Division.

As families celebrated the holiday at 200 Woolner Road, near Jane St. and St. Clair Ave., several people phoned police to report hearing gun shots on the fourth floor.

Staff Sergeant Lesley Hildred said the young man was known to police, but would not elaborate on how or why he had come to their attention.

She said there were no suspects at this point.
