One person was hurt and a man is in custody after police responded to a gun call at Tuesday's National Marijuana day rally at Yonge-Dundas Square.
A loaded gun was found near the scene of a skirmish on the north-east corner of the square near Victoria Street. The person believed to have had the gun has been taken in for questioning, said Sergeant Angela Theriault of 52 division.
No charges have been laid as police try to piece together what happened.
The one person injured was involved in the fight and considered a witness, she said.
The attendee was being treated for cuts and bruises at a local hospital - injuries unrelated to the gun call, she said.
The pot rally brought about 2,000 people out to mark April 20, also known as 4-20 day. The day is considered an opportunity to advocate the legalization of marijuana.
