Police say a woman found dead after a collision in Caledon, Ont., did not die as a result of the crash, but was in fact a homicide victim.
Provincial police say the woman was a passenger in a car that was involved in a "minor collision" with another vehicle on Friday evening.
However, police now say the collision "didn't contribute to the victim's death."
An 18-year-old man was arrested at the scene and has been charged with second-degree murder.
He appeared in court on Sunday and was remanded in custody until his next court appearance on Thursday in Orangeville, Ont.
Police have not yet released the identities of the victim or the suspect, or the woman's cause of death.
