Toronto police have made multiple arrests in the death of 14-year-old Lecent Ross.
Police wouldn't release further details, saying those answers will come at a news conference Friday morning, but various media reports say two people have been arrested.
Police have previously said the teen died at a home in northwest Toronto on July 9 from a gunshot wound that came from an illegal semi-automatic handgun.
The girl was visiting a friend's place on Jamestown Cres. and police have said there were other young people and one adult present when the gun was fired.
At the time, police said they were trying to figure out whether Lecent accidentally shot the gun herself or whether someone else pulled the trigger.
Her mother, Alicia Jasquith, says the girl was a straight-A student who dreamed of becoming a lawyer.
