The death of a 14-year-old Grimsby, Ont. boy who collapsed on a BMX park is not suspicious, police say.

At about 7:25 p.m. Thursday, Shayne Armstrong dropped off his bike on the southeast corner of the skate park in the town of Grimsby. He was rushed to West Lincoln Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Niagara Regional Police launched an investigation Friday but ended it after they discovered the boy's death was due to a pre-existing medical condition and wasn't a result of foul play, said acting detective sergeant Jim Taylor of the Grimsby detachment.
