A man in his 20s was shot on a Scarborough street Saturday afternoon after becoming entangled with police.
The man was shot on Biscayne Boulevard., a residential block of detached houses near Victoria Park and Eglinton avenues, around 3 p.m.
He was taken to hospital lacking vital signs, said Toronto EMS.
Police at 41 Division declined to comment on the shooting, as they said the Special Investigations Unit might be taking over the case.
The SIU, a civilian body, is called in to investigate whenever someone is killed or seriously injured by police.
