Two men have been taken to hospital after a double-shooting near Highway 401 and Allen Road.

Police were called to Cather Crescent at 8:00 Tuesday night. Two men, age 25 and 36, were found shot near a parked vehicle, Sergeant Louise Farrugia said. She said one man had been shot in the head and the other in the chest area.

"The injuries were pretty bad," Sgt. Farrugia said.

Staff Sergeant Mark Barkley said no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.

Both men have been taken to Sunnybrook Hospital.

An ambulance dispatcher said one of the men was "vitally stable" en route to the hospital. He said he had not heard how the other man had fared.

Carmen Ceron, 53, lives down the street and says she heard four or five gunshots.

"I heard a boom, boom, boom. I grabbed my grandkid and went in the basement," she said Tuesday night.

Ms. Ceron said she ventured outside and saw an injured man near a parked yellow school bus. She said she thinks he had two gunshot wounds, in the arm and the chest. She said the police were with him.
