A little while ago, I saw a Twitter comment from a guy who's scheduled to take a prenatal class on the weekend of the G20 summit.

First of all, my prenatal class was the only thing I can think of that was more of a waste of time than this summit. But secondly, it looks like that guy might want to reschedule.

Gillian Howard, spokeswoman for University Health Network, said today that the hospital is trying not to schedule follow up appointments for Friday, June 25 or the summit weekend. They are also rescheduling some appointments that have already been made. Anything medically necessary will of course go on as planned, she said.

"Most of the hospitals are looking at rescheduling," she said. But Ms. Howard said the move was not motivated by the idea that there might be injuries during summit protests, but more because it will likely be so difficult to get to the hospital.

They have also instructed staff to tack on travel time to their commute. "The biggest problem is going to be traffic and moving around the downtown," she said.
