What a perfect and somehow perfectly Canadian finish to these Olympics. First, the amazing achievement - bravo to all the athletes - of winning more gold medals at a Winter Games than any other nation in history. We did, indeed, Own The Podium after all, despite the premature despair. Then, we generously allowed the U.S. and Germany to win more overall medals than we did - not to mention a multitude of medals won by other nations.
That's having your Olympic cake and then sharing it with the world.
