I'm amazed Preston Manning feels the equivocal results of his quoted public opinion survey display the Canadian public's growing adaptation of a conservative mindset (The Blueing And Greening Of The Political Centre - March 17). My favourite: that only 54 per cent of people polled felt it is beneficial to "learn from what worked in the past to solve problems." Do conservatives only learn from their mistakes about half the time? If my seven-year-old had that kind of dismal record, there would be a parent-teacher meeting faster than you could say "prorogue."
