"After six miles," she said, "God intervened" and the car slowed. Could I offer an alternate explanation?
God intervened to accelerate the car, intent on taking her to his bosom. After six miles, the Devil intervened to slow the car, saying: "Sorry, lady, you're staying there and you have to go to Congress, too!"
