Politicians, Including Jody Wilson-Raybould herself, her supporters and her family have taken to Twitter to discuss her resignation from cabinet on Tuesday.

Ms. Wilson-Raybould shared her resignation letter to the Prime Minister’s Office on the platform.

Jane Philpott, MP for Markham—Stouffville, who has previously served as Minister of Health and Minister of Indigenous Services tweeted her admiration for Wilson-Raybould, who retweeted Philpott’s post.

John McCallum, Canada’s former ambassador to China also responded to the tweet, praising the accomplishments of both women.

Wilson-Raybould also retweeted a video post from CBC’s Power in Politics in which her father refers to her demotion from Attorney-General to Veterans Affairs as a “kick in the teeth by the Prime Minister.”

The former Attorney-General is also responding to tweets from former colleagues and supporters who are using the hashtag #standwithJody.
