Pinnacle International's latest development in the Entertainment District aims squarely at buyers searching for the seclusion of a high-rise condo suite yet minutes from all the action and activities found in the heart of the metropolis.

The infill project, called the Pinnacle on Adelaide, will rise 43 storeys from Adelaide and John streets, just minutes from hip Queen Street shops, lounges and clubs, as well as major theatres, concert halls, the Art Gallery of Ontario and the Toronto International Film Festival's new Bell Lightbox.

"Out of all the other projects in the area, ours is the most centralized location," sales and marketing manager Anson Kwok says. "A lot of people working downtown see this as a pretty convenient place to be.

"You feel like you're away from it all, but you're right next door to it."

To take care of daily needs, takeout joints, upscale eateries and Kensington Market are nearby, not to mention banks and streetcar service in every direction.

Buyers will also have the prospect of living close to John Street, which is now the focus of a city effort to make it a more pedestrian-friendly "cultural corridor."

"It's definitely going to be a hot spot," Mr. Kwok says. "It's really going to be a great neighbourhood to live in."

For residents who wish to indulge in diversions and distractions without leaving the building, there will be a street level party room with a kitchen and bar, a lobby with 24-hour concierge, a courtyard with a reflective pool and retail space in the historic Richard West House on site, which currently houses the Fox and Fiddle pub.

The 11th floor will have a gym, saunas, pool and hot tub, along with a lounge and outdoor terrace with a barbecue station and seating.

The rest of the building will contain 564 suites, including one bedroom, one-bedroom plus den and two bedroom models with galley kitchens and open principal rooms with walls of floor-to-ceiling windows and balconies.

In some cases, units will have large semi-ensuite bathrooms with sliding doors that can divide the space into two- and three-piece bathrooms.

"We devoted a lot of time to making sure the layouts are maximized and functional for people to live in," Mr. Kwok says.

The model suite at the sales centre displays features and finishes standard in every unit, such as stainless steel appliances, Caesar Stone counters and designer cabinetry.

Monthly fees will be 51 cents per square foot, plus hydro. Parking will cost $35,000 and lockers $4,000.

Occupancy is slated for June 2013.
