LISTING/CO-OP AGENT Andrea Morrison, Royal LePage Real Estate Services Ltd.
The action: This two-and-a-half storey house fetched the asking price of $1,250,000 on the first day offers were accepted, two days after weekend open house events.
What they got: The 2,375-square-foot, centre hall residence features wood trim and hardwood floors throughout, as well as wainscoting, French doors and leaded glass windows in many rooms.
On the main floor, there are living and dining rooms, a den and an eat-in kitchen, plus an exit to a rear deck and stairs to a lower level recreation room and one of three bathrooms.
Four bedrooms occupy the second floor, while two more bedrooms complete the third floor.
The agent's take: Agent Andrea Morrision praised the seller's preservation of the home's architectural integrity and the addition of modern conveniences such as the new Marcon bathroom and kitchen.
"[The sellers]maintained the harmony of the original gorgeous wood details in the house by having cherry stained cabinets in the kitchen, so it had more of a century-look," says Ms. Morrison.
The property is also one of few in the neighbourhood with a garage. The need for a car is minimized, however, because the home is located near numerous amenities. "It's close to parks and local renowned schools, like Pius Catholic School and Humbercrest for French immersion," says Ms. Morrison.
