The action
This two-bedroom bungalow is part of the Villages of Glancaster low-rise condo community, which caters to residents at least 55 years old. The home was listed for $779,900 last year and got about 20 visitors before one person struck a deal at $755,000.
“Days on market these days is approximately 60 to 90, depending on where you’re looking and the product, but this one went in a very pretty reasonable amount of time at about a month,” said agent Michael St. Jean.
“There are not a lot of areas like this,” said Mr. St. Jean. “Even within these communities, there’s a very small number of listings at any given time.”
The purchase also includes access to a clubhouse with a saltwater pool and sports courts.
“It’s almost like a mini village, with a lot of amenities,” Mr. St. Jean said.

The agent’s take
“Bungalows are a tough product to find in many cases,” Mr. St. Jean said.
“It’s outside of the urban area of the city, three to five minutes from everything you could be looking for from a retail perspective, grocery stores, car dealerships, restaurants and highway access.
“But you’re far enough, it feels like you’re in the country.”
