The action
After Labour Day, this three-bedroom house on a 59- by 132-foot lot was listed for $2.1-million, making it a more affordable option in a neighbourhood where homes often sell for double that. Within 24 hours, 11 potential buyers stopped by to tour the detached property, and one offered to pay full price.
“This property was an entry-level price to the prestigious Humber Valley Village, where homes typically sell for up to $5-million,” agent Luke Dalinda said.
“Because it was a full price offer, [my clients] felt confident and wanted to move on with their plans.”
Finalizing the deal quicker than the norm was a bonus for the sellers.
“There were [other houses in the area] that were similar, but they didn’t have all the boxes checked,” Mr. Dalinda said.
“They were either on a smaller lot or were a smaller house.
“This is in the prime Humber Valley Village area, which is sought after for its schools, and is a close commute to get into the city.”
