The action

Agent Trish Bongard Godfrey was concerned that poor weather would keep buyers from visiting this revamped, three-bedroom house a few blocks away from Keele Street and Rogers Road. But three parties were undeterred and each brought purchase offers.

“[The market] was slow, and it wasn’t a great weekend when we had the open house; the weather was awful,” said Ms. Godfrey.

“But there was nothing like it in terms of the quality.”

The sellers had completed a total gut and expansion of the property earlier this year and decided not to move back in to preserve its pristine condition. One buyer was so impressed that they offered $160,000 over the asking price.

“This was unique and beautifully built, really for an end user,” Ms. Godfrey said.

“There are three bedrooms and three bathrooms upstairs, which is quite unusual.”

What they got

This two-storey house has numerous upgrades, such as a glass-lined stairwell and an upscale kitchen with stainless-steel appliances, an island with a waterfall edge, and double doors to a deck.

The living and dining areas have nine-foot ceilings, with the bedrooms upstairs offering slightly more headroom. The primary bedroom has a walk-in closet, balcony and one of the home’s five bathrooms.

The basement has an open recreation area with an exit leading up to the patio and shed.

There’s also a parking pad on the 25- by 110-foot lot.

The agent’s take

“It’s a great place to be,” Ms. Godfrey said.

“St. Clair is undergoing some changes along there, past Corso Italia, and there’s the mall at Keele. So there’s good shopping and access to things you need.”
