This unit had been well-maintained, and it was easy to show, said listing agent Cheryl Davie. It had been previously tenanted, but the tenants had moved out. About 67 groups viewed the unit and the owner received five offers. The buyer intends to live in the unit. The deal completed on Feb. 13.
What they got
The unit had been well-maintained, and it was easy to show, said listing agent Cheryl Davie.Hill & Harbour Real Estate Group
The buyers got a bright, not too-dated downtown condo unit that’s 16 years old, in the Brava Building. There’s an office space and laundry in the 547 square-foot unit, and updates include paint and new flooring.
The suite has floor-to-ceiling windows and faces the quieter side of the tower. Building amenities include an outdoor lap pool, large gym, sauna, steam room and billiards room.
There is a park next door. The suite comes with a parking space. The strata council does not allow short-term rentals.
The agent’s take
The unit is located in the Brava Building.Hill & Harbour Real Estate Group
Demand is strong, and the offers are coming in, but buyers aren’t willing to pay the asking prices, said Ms. Davie. As a result, the downtown market remains slow in terms of price increases.
“The offers received prior to the one which was accepted were not satisfactory to the sellers, and they declined to accept, and in most cases did not counter back,’ she said.
