Make a date with yourself
Uncertain what to do next as you consider a major decision? Productivity guru David Allen says if you need more information to be comfortable, then add to your to-do list whatever next actions are required to get that information. But if you just need some time for your intuition to grapple with the matter, be willing to give yourself space, marking in your calendar when you will next formally consider the issue, be it in two days or two months.
Get rid of that cubicle barrier
Collaboration is required on most business matters these days but IT engineer Nathan Zeldes notes a barrier can be the desks in most cubicles, which have a computer in the middle of an L-shaped desk. It allows the worker to have phone, file trays and other essentials around him or her, but leaves no space for a collaborator on a project. Use a rectangular table instead, he advises.

Be clear on your ID
Consultant Lisa Kanarek advises you to make sure the name on your airplane ticket matches the name on your driver's licence or other ID. When a client booked a trip for her, she had trouble because a nickname was used, rather than her legal name.
Colour me organized
When you change the highlight colour you are using in a Word document, it doesn't affect any previous highlighting on the document, so it's possible to have several different colours in a report.
