Goldcorp Inc. (TSX:G) says it has resumed work at its Los Filos mine in Mexico after signing a new five-year land occupancy agreement with the Carrizalillo Ejido landowners group.
The Vancouver company had suspended work at the mine on April 2 after an earlier occupancy deal expired.
Goldcorp said production at Los Filos is expected to be at the low end of the mine's guidance for between 330,000 and 345,000 ounces due to the lost month.
However, the gold miner reconfirmed its overall company guidance of between 2.95 and 3.10 million gold ounces for the year.
The Los Filos mine has been in operation since 2007 and produced 332,400 ounces in 2013.
The project consists of two open-pit mines and one underground mine.
