Wood Mackenzie, the energy and metals research and consulting firm, has hired former oil executive Peter Argiris at its expanding Calgary office to cover key oil and gas plays, a source familiar with the matter said.
Mr. Argiris was most recently vice-president of business development at Anatolia Energy Corp., a junior explorer that operated in Turkey. It was taken over by Houston-based Cub Energy Inc. last month in a share-exchange deal. Prior to that, he was an exploration and production research associate at Canaccord.
