Russia's oil output hit a post-Soviet high of 10.78 million barrels a day in October, new data from the country's Energy Ministry show. Despite low crude prices, Russia has boosted production as it tries to preserve market share in its traditional markets, Reuters reports. Russia was the No. 3 petroleum producer in 2014, trailing the United States and Saudi Arabia, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration.
